Tip #1: Don’t pay for party decorations

Many types of party decorations can be made at home with just clip art and free digital scrapbook paper that are available on the Web. The clip art can be printed and placed around your house, including being sprinkled in flower arrangements or used on menu cards. And the scrapbook papers can be used as backdrops for napkin holders and place cards. They can also be used to make origami party favors. This can be especially effective if you can find clip art that matches the scrapbook papers. If you want a little fancier appearance, try some glitter glue to make things more sparkly.

Tip #2: Serve food that makes an impression

While planning the menu for your party, look for buffet recipes that aren’t expensive to make and also provide that “wow” factor. An example of this would be spinach and artichoke dip in a bowl made of sourdough bread or purple cabbage, or water chestnuts wrapped with bacon covered with a sauce created from brown sugar, pre-made chili sauce and mayonnaise and baked.

Tip #3: Provide background music
