Switchflops Tend To Be All About Style Convenience

As summer time comes to rest beneath the first wave of autumn leaves, most casual footwear fanatics reject their old vanilla sandals. But not according to 25-year-old . Back when she was 16 and in high school in Tampa, Fla., Phillips designed sandals with interchangeable straps for fashionable flair as part of an artwork venture. In just a couple years, was in flight as a legitimate retail company. The revenue projection for 2010 is a healthy $ 30 million.

The concept behind is quite simple

are a more budget-savvy way for consumers to expand their casual shoe possibilities. Thanks to a wide array of strips, Phillips’ give people the choices they’ve been craving. From buttons to bangles and beads, it is all there. The price is right, too: $ 35 for the sole with one strap, and $ 12 apiece for additional decorative straps. Each new strap makes for a fashionable, affordable new adventure. Now the adventure continues for the business, as they sell other shoe types for adults and kids, also as accessories like bags and scarves. Phillips’ inventions are sold in more than 4,000 stores worldwide.

‘Everyone wore flip-flops to school, all of the time’

Phillips saw the need and filled it, displaying a classic entrepreneurial sense. The children at her high school loved to wear flip-flops to school (”Everyone wore them all the time,” she told AOL), however the casual shoes weren’t always probably the most fashionable shoe in and of themselves. Not all individuals could afford to purchase a pair for each day of the week. would be the solution, meeting the and affordability needs head-on. By 2004, Phillips had an official patent on the idea. By 2007, with the help of experienced CEO Jeffrey Davidson, Phillips got off the ground. An overseas office is at the moment on the agenda.

Personalization possibilities are admired today

People love choice. That’s a modern enterprise truism, says AOL. It is also something of which Phillips is well-aware.

“Everyone wants to be a little unique, and when we might have the very same bag, we don’t want it to be exactly the exact same,” Phillips said.

They are in the progress o recreating this new innovation for the male market. My father is really going to appreciate a  gift of bum-toning this year.
