Men And Their Skin Care Routines
Be true to your skin as it is our body’s largest organ and is capable of adapting very well to the rapidly changing environment. Knowing your true skin type (the type of skin you have under ideal environmental conditions) is the first step to selecting the products that meet your unique needs. If you have sensitive skin cheaper shaving creams, fragrances, perfumed soaps, and alcohol based products will irritate the skin. Remember to always thoroughly read the labels on any new products (before buying them) and this will ensure you purchase a product that suits your individual skin needs.
To avoid sun damage to your skin, ensure you don’t over expose yourself to the sun, as this can lead to hyper pigmentation (brown spots) which can in turn develop into serious skin disease. Unfortunately if you have too much exposure this can also exaggerate and plump out fine lines. Use an SPF 20 or higher on skin that is exposed, this is particularly important on your face when you venture outside. Don’t make the mistake of forgetting about protecting your lips! Ideally you would be looking to use a balm with a SPF of a minimum of 15. Peppermint oil has a nice feel and keeps the lips looking moist.
Remember though all things must be done in moderation - too much of anything is never great for any of us. If you can try and avoid excessive smoking, alcohol, stress and fatigue. Not only can these factors lead to premature aging, they also decrease facial circulation making you look older.
Go natural - Cleansing skin care products should be as chemical-free as possible. One of my favourites is the Elemis Deep Cleanse Facial wash, which I find satisfying. Ensure that you never use deodorant soaps on your face. The reason for this is because they cleanse with harsh ingredients and unfortunately leave behind a detergent film. This may irritate your skin and will clog your pores. For healthy clean skin it is really quite essential to remember to scrub your skin. It will remove dead cells and smooth the surface of your face. The scrub should be strong without being damaging. Stay away from scrubs that contain rough elements like ground bits of nut or seed extracts. They could possibly tear and do damage to the skin. Having a good old scrub will certainly invigorate you and it certainly can’t do any harm. After this, you should consider using a moisturizer such as Gatineau Aquamemory Moisturiser, which helps to reduce the tell-tale signs of aging.

A Guide To Anti-Aging
Many people believe that the majority of skin-ageing is caused by too much sun exposure. This is a huge figure and one that has to be taken seriously for anyone who is looking at ways in delaying the aging process.
For people who enjoy spending time sunbathing as it makes them feel good and because they like looking tanned, I would advise a strong sun cream. This should be used regularly as per the instructions and if you start to feel your body burning up this is the time when you should be looking for some shade or to cover up.
It is also important to ensure we get enough sleep. Research suggests that people who only average around six hours sleep per night will age in looks far quicker than people who average eight hours. When I was younger I had a stutter, this caused me many a sleepless night. I was eager to find out how to stop stuttering as I was desperate to achieve fluency. I attended various forms of stammering treatments and was eventually able to achieve fluency. I have no doubt gained a few years - in looks due to the stutter lol. I am now am able to speak free from stuttering so therefore I am a happy chap!
Again this is very logical as if you have a period of a couple of weeks when you do not get enough sleep, bags can appear under your eyes. If you have a really good nights sleep you tend to wake up not only feeling fresh and awake but also looking fresh and healthy. My advice here for people who have developed these bags under their eyes would be to use a good eye cream or to gently massage their eyes every day.
Getting a good nights sleep is not always easy; I know that. I used to worry a lot about work; I sold last minute holidays via a business cost cutting company and always felt under pressure to get more sales which often led to a sleepless night. I also had a part job time of which I needed plenty of energy for which was offering people advice about training for foster carers .
Smoking can certainly speed up the aging process. It is far from straight forward to stop smoking but for those people out there who are serious about staying younger for longer it really is essential. There are of course many other reasons to stop smoking, therefore be brave and look at ways to quit smoking today.

Alzheimer's Treatments Discussed
Like most diseases, those who have Alzheimer’s or those who are family members or close friends of those who have Alzheimer’s disease may be looking towards alternative treatments in hopes of bring relief or to prolong quality of life to those who suffer from the disease. Herbal remedies, and dietary supplements and others may be involved in alternative treatments.
A patient or the patient’s family should always discuss alternative treatments with the doctor caring for the individual with Alzheimer’s when the treatment plan is being devised or modified. No two individuals go through the course of Alzheimer's with the exact same symptoms or in the exact same intensity or progression. When designing and implementing a treatment plan many factors should be taken into consideration. Most treatment plans for those with Alzheimer's involve a combination of medicated and non-medicated methods. Patients or other concerned individuals should, for the safety of the individual with Alzheimer’s seek competent medical resources when investigating alternative methods of treating Alzheimer’s and consult with the main doctor treating the specific patient before making any changes in the treatment of that individual to prevent side effects or adverse reactions from other elements of the treatment plan with any new alternative treatment.
It is important to investigate any source of herbal or supplemental remedy for quality. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not do the same rigorous scientific research on these herbal or supplemental remedies as it does on prescription medications therefore it is up to the consumer to make sure that they do adequate amounts of research to validate the claims made by companies selling herbal or supplemental remedies.
Some alternative treatments may have some benefit but they may also cause legitimate concerns regarding effectiveness and safety. When combining alternative remedies with traditional treatments both medicated and non-medicated; it is important to keep in mind the need for not only the effectiveness and safety of such herbal and supplemental remedies but purity, and adverse reactions.
Coenzyme Q10 is one supplement that has been linked with Alzheimer’s disease. It is an antioxidant the body uses for normal cell reactions and that normally occurs in the body and. There are no current adequate studies regarding Coenzyme Q10 and its effectiveness for its use in treating those with Alzheimer’s disease.
A supplement that has been given much publicity regarding being a "cure for Alzheimer's disease" and other diseases is Coral calcium. In 2003, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) filed complaints against those who distribute and promote Coral Calcium as a “cure for Alzheimer’s” because they believed there were no documented support or evidence of the health claims being made by these companies. It is very important that anyone taking any herbal or supplements make sure that the producers are reputable.
Ginkgo biloba is a plant extract that possibly contains an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory property that may protect cell membranes and also may regulate neurotransmitter function that may have a positive effect on memory. There was one study done and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1997 that shows modest improvement in the cognitive function of study participants regarding daily living tasks and social behavior but found no overall difference in overall impairment. Further research was determined to be needed. Other studies of Ginkgo biloba are currently being conducted.
