There are certain occasions that seem to attract the same types of year after year. For Valentine’s Day you’re supposed to send a box of gooey chocolates. For Mother’s Day you’re supposed to send  aromatic   flowers. For Christmas it is the fruit cake that always seems to  show up every year. Let’s face it: these can get a little stale. Why not  begin  a new gift tradition with a fresh fruit basket? These can be very  different   which will be something  to look forward to if you make it an annual (or monthly!) event.

Never  will a fruit basket ever be considered the “same old gift.” Every time you send out a fruit basket you can arrange  it to your own specific variations. These can include all the  special   treats of the somebody you’re giving them to. You might know someone who is gaga for  and grapefruit  . You can stock a fruit basket with all  kinds   of these yummy citrus treats in every  type   from navel to temple to Valencia. You might not know the difference but the person  who loves  oranges certainly will! And they’ll appreciate adding in an assortment  of other treats like mandarins, clementines and tangerines.

Keeping the theme going for your fruit basket also means you can add in a bunch of grapefruits as part of the package . Often folks  forget how great  a simple grapefruit is for a breakfast selection. With your fruit basket gift, they’ll certainly be reminded of that. And speaking of grapefruit, consider introducing that special person on your gift list to a honeybell, which is a hybrid of a grapefruit and tangerine. It’s so tasty  you might even consider ordering up a basket for yourself.

If you want to mix  things up, then you can add all  types of unique  flavors  to your  fruit basket gift. Depending on the time of year  you could mix in some juicy plums or sweet nectarines and peaches. There’s also a vast variety  of apples and pears that can be put into your fruit basket gift. And don’t forget all those great  tasting tropical like pineapples,  kiwi and mangoes.

There is one slight  problem with giving a fruit basket as a non-traditional gift: you might be expected to now give a fruit basket every year ! There is certainly nothing wrong with that and those lucky folks on the receiving end will surely appreciate the gesture.
