March is generally  known as National Month and what smarter  way to celebrate that then by giving family  the  present   of a fruit basket.  Although the nutritionary numbers of each basket  is different   going by  to what is in it, here is a  descriptions  of the nutritional benefits of a  couple of the most typical  found in a basket.

Citrus fruits such as valencias, mandarins , tangerines, limes or lemons also almost always find a way into your typical  basket.   Most medium sized citrus fruits carry   about   60-70 calories making them a great snack alternative high in fiber.  Citrus fruits also contain Vitamins A,B1, B2, B6, C and E, Niacin, and Folate as well as good   amounts  of potassium, magnesium, copper and zinc.   Not only are citrus fruits common in baskets, they are also a symbolic representation of good luck and new beginnings .  This is a great to add in congratulatory or holiday .
