In most cases you would have to shop at an exclusive designer’s store if you wanted to get a true designer pack to carry. Yes, designer backpacks can be functional, but you’ll be paying so much for them that you must realize you are buying them for the brand name and the functionality of the pack itself.
A designer pack offers no more functionality than any other pack you could buy at your local sporting goods store. The difference will strictly be the label that you find on the pack itself. If you are serious backpacker then you are probably going to want to avoid a designer pack because it just won’t do the job for you.
A benefit though of designer backpacks is the way they wear over time. The material used in the packs is likely high in quality. A designer pack will not fall apart with the average wear and tear that it will get. It will stand up to wear and tear. The problem really lies in the functionality of the pack.
If you are looking for a good traveling backpack you won’t want a designer one. If you are one of those people who really enjoys traveling to places that can only be reached on foot then a designer pack won’t be right for you. You will need a pack that has some true utility if you are going to go camping in the wild with a backpack full of supplies.
