Let’s Get Serious About Camping!
If you’re planning your first camping trip of the season, it never hurts to remind yourself what to bring with you. Campers who have never gone camping before might be unsure as to what they need to take with them. If you’re not sure what type of supplies to bring with you camping or how to plan for your trip, this guide will make sure you don’t forget a thing!
The first thing you should do is make sure that you know where you want to go and how you will go there. You will want to take some time and learn all you can about where you will be staying. No two campgrounds are alike, so it’s very important to do some homework before you go. Some campgrounds are nothing more than a field with grass, others may be resort like with swimming pools, tennis courts, and games. If possible, try and get reservations for the date that you want to go to the campground. Some campgrounds these days even allow you to make your reservations online. It will be up to you to choose where you travel to.
A great way to prepare for your trip is to make sure you consider all of the important essentials for day to day living. Consider your average day and what you do and what items you use from the time you wake up in the morning until you go to sleep. You are going to want to eat eventually, so having something to snack on is always a good start. There are hundreds of breakfast recipes for camping you can make.
It’s always useful to also plan on how you will protect yourself from hot weather. Animals may decide your camping area looks like a mighty nice place to attack. You also need to be prepared in case of an emergency. These types of things can happen to anyone, so don’t think they won’t happen to you.
There are many camping checklists that can help ensure you pack everything you might need. I suggest you bring all medical supplies with you when you go on a vacation.~Do not ignore the possibility of needing these things. If possible, brush up on understanding plant and animal safety. You’ll not have the internet while camping unless you are cool enough to have a smart phone|iPad|expensive gadget you might drop into the raging rapids!
So what else do you need for camping? A deck of cards can be a nice addition for a way to entertain yourselves. It is outlawed to bring alcohol to many public places. some people actually watch TV while camping, which sure defeats the purpose.
You will have a fantastic time camping I promise. You just have to get used to camping, and once you start you’ll be sure to like it a whole lot. Your days will be very much enjoyed!
