Great Places To Do Your Christmas Shopping

I guess I better get into the Christmas spirit soon, I guess. But isn’t Christmas supposed to be about joy and goodwill, because I have no familiarity with these feelings when Christmas shopping. I’m no Grinch, I love Christmas. However there something rather ruthless about the scores of shoppers battling for the gifts they need to buy. Christmas shopping in a busy city-centre can be so intense you will need like you need a short break away, so why not? You can kill two birds with one stone. Try conducting your Christmas Shop at a more enjoyable location; one which includes a range of independent shops too. So here are a few locations which will add a bit more festive cheer to your shopping experience.

The historic city of Bath was first established as a spa resort by the Romans who built a series of baths in the surrounding hills. So why splash out on some Christmas giftsin some of Bath’s independent boutiques and designer stores in Milsom Street, Bartlett Street and New Bond Street. George Street has a wonderful array of uniquely quirky shops; including fashion stores for men and women which were voted one of Vogue magazine’s best boutiques of 2010. For children’s stocking fillers head for Walcot Street has Enkla, House of Bears, Up To Seven for handmade children clothes.

Edinburgh is another city full of rich history. Scotland’s Capital is characterised by its cobbled streets and beautiful architecture. Shopping for clothes will involve a trip down to St Andrew Square and Multress Walk where designer names such as Mulberry and Bravissimo can be found. Why not opt for the ultimate personalised gifts head to St Georges Street which is home to Hamilton & Inches SCOCIETY Jewellers.
