Moss Holds No Grudges
Randy Moss states that he’s sorry things didn’t go well in Minnesota and he is not angry with the Minnesota Vikings or coach Brad Childress for releasing him. The well-traveled receiver contends he is not in town, his third NFL town this season, to start problems. Moss spoke Wednesday for the first time since Minnesota released him Nov. 1. Wednesday was additionally Moss’ 2nd practice with the Titans, the sole NFL squad to put in a claim for the player with 153 career touchdown catches. He stated that he adored being in Minnesota, despite the fact that it didn’t turn out. He also commented on how he did not see eye to eye with coach Childress, but he is not holding a grudge.
Moss began his media session with a statement, yet did take four questions — the complete return lasted three minutes, four seconds. It was a shift for Moss, who blew off the press in Minnesota many times and drew a $25,000 penalty from the league. He previously spoke publicly Oct. 31 after his last game with the Vikings, a 28-18 loss to New England Patriots. He declined to take questions, rather going on a strange rant gushing about the Patriots and also coach Bill Belichick and criticizing Vikings coaching. Childress told his players the next day Moss was being released, and the team actually put him on waivers a day later on Nov 2. Tennessee acquired him one day later.
Moss can become the first competitor in NFL history to catch a touchdown pass with three diverse squads in only one year with his 1st td reception for Tennessee. The 13-year veteran began the year with New England before the Pats traded him to Minnesota on Oct. 6 — merely to be waived fewer than a month later. Moss, who arrived in town Sunday, is in a much different scenario in Tennessee. The Tennessee Titans (5-3) are evened up atop the AFC South, and Fisher is presenting Moss a brand new start in Tennessee. That pass play vs Patriots where Moss has been accused of not racing whilst drawing a pass interference call? Fisher stated receivers sometimes lose the flight of the ball.
Fisher said Moss is going to play Sunday vs Miami (4-4) and is listed as a starter. Fisher observed Moss participated in most of the offense at practice Wednesday. One reason Moss may be enjoying himself is the Tennessee Titans additionally like to have a bit bit of excitement while they work. They had rookie safety Robert Johnson wear Moss’ No. 84 jersey and go onto the practice field with TV cameras and photographers filming away, believing it was the star receiver. Moss ran out a handful of minutes later, yanking his helmet on with his customary red gloves rather than the blue Johnson wore.
The Tennessee Titans merely pray Moss debuts just as he has in each of his earlier 1st competitions with a new squad. He has scored at least one touchdown and is averaging 122 yards. Collins said the Titans are observing the excellent perspective and work ethos Moss brings in addition to his wish to win. That ratchets up the expectations across the sports book.
