You are always promised a fantastic show at any casino resort and certainly recently some of the casinos have been going all out to keep the players satisfied. The news that KISS were going to be arriving at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa to sign autographs for fans got me thinking. On the strip these days, who is being lined up to entertain us? Of course KISS have a pretty specific audience and it makes you think if their fans will turn up in full outfit and makeup matching their heroes.

A true star is making a very welcome return to Las Vegas and one that has a huge fan base. Good old Barry Manilow will be singing his dulcet tones in Sin City as he is rumoured to have signed up for a two year show at the Paris Las Vegas hotel. The performance is scheduled to begin sometime around Spring 2010.

Slightly more my taste is the Black Eyed Peas who are going to be rocking the night away on New Year’s Eve in Dick Clark’s New Year Special. Amongst the stars featuring in the Las Vegas line-up are The Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke and Orianthi and finally the brilliant Colbie Caillat.

If the Las Vegas Wynn succeed in snapping up Beyonce for a stint at their Vegas casino, that will be a real bonus for them. She was playing there earlier this year for two months and negotiations are well under way to try and bring her back, but this time for a longer stint. During a typically slow tourist season in Las Vegas her shows certainly helped to boost visitors to Wynn and its sister, Encore Las Vegas resort.

Finally, for all you 1980s fans out there, I was delighted to come across this act at the Palms. Billed as ‘Singing Sensation’ Matt Goss of the boy band that was Goss will be appearing. It doesn’t really surprise me. With all the news in the media about punters refusing to pay their bills to casinos, it was only a matter of time before the new Vegas anthem became ‘I owe You Nothing’!
